Killin' It

It's a lazy Saturday. Enough said.

Top - Brandy Melville / Cardigan - Forever 21 / Leggings - Belk

Sorry for the lack of pictures. I'm still trying to work out the kinks with the self-timer, so a lot of my shots were too blurry to post. It's a work in progress xx

Burning Red.

Guys. It was freezing. I mean 25 degrees may not sound that bad to a lot of people, but to me it sounds like the perfect temperature to crawl into my bed and not come out until April. I'm hoping my pictures will start to turn out better when we can stand to be outside long enough to take them, but until then...

I love the bright red color of this dress. I rarely wear anything bright, but this is one exception. The dress is pretty old from Forever 21.

If these boots look familiar, it's because they're one of my favorite pairs. I have to try my hardest not to wear them too much, to be honest. They're Tommy Hilfiger, but I bought them for about $16 at Plato's Closet.

This scarf is definitely not the warmest, but that means it'll be great in the springtime. I got it from H&M a few months ago.
Just a little bonus: Had one of my fashion columns for my campus newspaper published today. Stay tuned: I'll post the entire thing on here soon enough xx

Summer 2013 Lookbook

Hey, all! I can't believe it's already almost the middle of July! Summer has been going by so quickly, which is making me very sad because I love it so much; especially the clothes. Summertime is the easiest time to dress for me. I can just quickly pull a dress out of my closet and go. I like the simple makeup, simple hairstyles, and just all around simplicity and casualness that summer allows. So I have put together a lookbook to show you all some of my favorite outfits and trends of the summer. I have created a video also that will be uploaded soon. Enjoy!

Look 1
I love, love, love this dress from American Eagle. The fabric is 100% polyester and it feels amazing on me. The dress is loose and flowy, making it perfect for summer.

Look 2
I can pretty much assume that maxi skirts and crop tops are the two staples in many girls' closets this summer. Now, I'm 5'1, so I have been very hesitant when it comes to wearing one. But as soon as I tried this maxi skirt from Forever 21, I loved it. Also, I was so excited when I went to Italy and found this crop top (and bandeau) at Brandy Melville. I added a necklace from American Eagle to add a little accessory to the outfit.

Look 3
I will admit, I find rompers difficult. They're definitely too much trouble when you have to use the bathroom. But every once in a while I find one that I just love. I bought this romper from Forever 21. I love its pockets and its pattern. But the best part is the back (watch the video to get a glimpse). I love anything with an interesting back to it and this one is one of the bests I own.

Look 4
This top from H&M is my favorite top to wear when I'm going out at night with my friends. I love the design on it and I have been really into back black lately. I wear in the daytime by matching it with patterned shorts like these high-waist ones from Forever 21.

Look 5
The rule of thumb for crop tops: appropriate as long as your skirt/shorts cover your belly button. I do admit, I get a little self-conscious when wearing one, but they can be cute and innocent when matched with a skirt like this one from H&M. This crop top is actually a bit old. I bought it to wear with my kitty cat Halloween costume last year. I'm glad the crop top trend exploded, so I can get more use out of it!

Men Monday: Lookbook Spotlight

I love menswear. I'm honestly not that great at figuring it out or styling most guys, but I love a well-dressed man. In the fashion-sphere, it doesn't seem like men are given as much attention as they deserve. However, the Lookbook website showcases all the different styles that talented men have with their fashion sense. So today, I want to put the spotlight on one of my favorite guys on the website - Edward Honaker.

When I first started my fashion tumblr, he was the first guy I saw on the site and I was instantly in love. He has the classic, put together look that I think is incredibly flattering on all men.
He's only 19, so he still manages to keep a youthful feel to his outfits. His look is always put together, whether he's wearing jeans and sneakers, or a sweater and oxfords.
If you like his look, check out his profile on Lookbook and become a fan!
